Thirty-five to forty percent of battered women attempt suicide.

Wife abuse accounts for twenty-five percent of suicides by U.S. women, and fifty percent of suicides by African-American women.

At our recent conference, a caregiver announced that a victim contemplating suicide had changed her course when she started reading “The Lord Hears Your Cries.”

At their most desperate moment, survivors need to know that God still cares about them.

Shoe Cards

PASCH makes three small-sized resources available to be placed in women’s washrooms: the aforementioned “The Lord Hears Your Cries" (which has both English and Spanish text), “Biblical Thoughts on Physical Sexual, and Verbal Abuse” and also the cards, which are small enough to be tucked in a woman’s shoe. We have also been told of a survivor who changed her suicide plans after she picked up a shoe card.
