Dear PASCH members, friends, and allies,
We are happy to report that the PASCH 2011 conference: “Emerging from the Shadows,” which took place May 12-15, 2011, in the Vancouver, British Columbia area was a huge accomplishment:
- 190 participants in attendance
- 60 pastors at the Friday morning Pastor’s breakfast
- Well attended memorial service for Cathie on Sunday morning
At the Sunday morning worship service we celebrated Cathie’s remarkable life, even as we mourned her death. We also had the opportunity to recognize and mourn those who have suffered from abuse in their home. We think that Cathie would have been pleased with the success of the entire event.
Our board of directors spent several days together in Vancouver after the conference, seeking God’s will for the future of PASCH. We made three fundamental decisions:
• To survey our members/friends/allies to determine their level of support, and to solicit their ideas and suggestions for the future direction of PASCH;
• To produce an edited book that will be a collection of the presentations from the conference as we have done in the past;
• To explore funding possibilities, especially for the new book, since without Cathie’s volunteer labor as well as her generous donations to the organization, the scope of our work will be limited without new funds.
Our goal is to have the survey e-mailed to you within the next couple of months. We hope that you will take the time to fill it out so we can hear from all those who care about PASCH and its future. While we will not have the capacity over the next year to produce a newsletter of the caliber produced by Cathie, we will keep you updated on our progress with the self-study and the future of the PASCH organization. Over the next year, our office staff will be limited to volunteers and a part time accounting person, so we will be able to respond only to email requests. We thank you for your patience as we consider the work of our organization in the aftermath of Cathie’s passing.
We encourage you to continue to support PASCH with your prayers and donations as we seek to keep Cathie’s vision alive while moving with the Spirit and the will of God.
Blessings,
Nancy Nason-Clark, President

I love the new design. It looks great. I really like where the pictures fade in and out.

It’s not often I see something I agree with so much on the web. I wish I had your passion for writing!

I pray that other women will rise up to take this work. I escaped out of an abusive relationship with a man from my church who had hidden his history of domestic abuse. My pastors made the decision to not remove him from fellowship because there was no legal reason to do so. I had not filed a police report – I didn’t know what to do so I went to my church for help. They didn’t recognise what I was going through as DV even though he finally threatened to shoot himself. I’m trying to find a way to educate my church so that nothing like this will ever happen to someone else. This website and lectures of the Bringing Hope conference helped me more than I can say and made me know that other godly women of faith were trying to make a difference to bring this evil thing to light and eradicate it. It is such a huge problem that churches don’t recognise it for what it is and that puts other women in danger. God Bless You!
